When is POWER-CON/THUNDERCON 2012?
POWER-CON is Saturday September 22nd and Sunday September 23rd.

Will my Ticket wristband arrive in the mail?
Ticket wristbands will not be mailed out and are available for pick up the evening of Friday September 21st and during the show on Saturday and Sunday at the Registration table.

What do I need to pick up my Ticket wristband?
In order to retrieve your wristband or package, you will need your PayPal receipt and your ID with you. You MUST have both your PayPal receipt and your ID if you wish to obtain these items! No one can pick up your wristband or Package items for you, and you must have proof of payment and identification! We cannot stress this enough!

Where do I pick up my Ticket wristband or package?
At the Registration table. This will be located outside the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott Torrance South Bay hotel.

How do I know my Ticket or Package purchase was received?
You should receive a PayPal receipt verifying your payment. If you do not receive this reply within a week’s time then you should contact us at info@thepower-con.com.

Will the incentive items in my Power Pass or Roast Gooble Package arrive in the mail?
Package incentives (if any) will not be mailed out before the show and are available for pick up during the convention.

Is there any way I can purchase these incentive items aside from buying a ticket Package for the convention?
Any incentives offered may only be available through these ticket packages. This makes them very limited so be sure to order yours!

Am I guaranteed to get the items listed in the ticket Package?
While these Packages are planned to give you exactly what is listed, there may be a reason we need to alter what was planned as incentive items. If this happens, any altered item will be replaced with what we feel is an item of equal or greater value.

If I’ve purchased a Ticket or Package, but for some reason am unable to attend the show, dinner and/or related programming, can I get a refund?
All sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds on any ticket or package purchase. Thank you for understanding.

If I don’t pick up my incentive items (available for Packages only) at Pre-Registration on the day of the con, or for any reason don’t attend the show, can I get those items later?
If you miss the show, or didn’t pick up your incentives while attending the show, we can mail them to you, at your cost, for up to 60 days after the show. It will be your responsibility to contact us about these items. After that time, we will consider those items forfeited. Note that if you pick up your items at the show and then misplace or damage them, we will not replace them.

To what does a Power Pass badge entitle an attendee? (available for Packages only)
The Power Pass badge entitles attendees to enter all panels and signings before general attendance by allowing them to stand in the Priority Line queue. While Priority Line badge wearers are entitled to chose seating before general attendance, there may still be previous panel attendees seated in the room as we may not clear the panel room after each session.

Do I really need to wear my day/weekend pass wristband all weekend?
Once on your wrist, DON’T TAKE IT OFF! This will be your entry to all panels and rooms. We cannot be responsible for lost wristbands, nor will we replace them. Sleep with it, take care of it, consider it your friend for the weekend.

AT THE CONVENTION

I can’t find my party, can you page them?
No, we will not make personal announcements during the convention. Exceptions will be made for emergency circumstances. Personal arrangements should be planned out ahead of time within the party on where to meet if the group is separated.

Can I bring food or beverages onto the convention floor?
No, food and beverages cannot be brought onto the convention floor by attendees.

When will you announce programming for the convention?
Our programming will be up on our Programming Schedule page closer to the date of the show!

EXHIBITORS AND ARTISTS

How long do I have to purchase or secure space as an exhibitor at POWER-CON?
Discounted booth and table sales are open until August 1st 2011. Space is limited and we expect a sellout this year, so we suggest you buy as soon as possible.

When can I get on the floor of the Convention Center for setup?
The convention floor is open for vendor setup:
6:00 PM – 11:00 PM Friday
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM Saturday
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Sunday

Where do I go to check in and get my badges, etc.?
At the Registration table. This will be located outside the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott Torrance South Bay hotel.

My staff is arriving separately, either before or after I do–can we pick up our badges separately?
For security reasons, only persons listed by name when tables are purchased can pick up badges separately or for the exhibitor’s staff. Names must be provided in advance by the individual purchasing the booth. For instance, if only “John Doe” is listed on the form, then John Doe must pick up all of his badges and then get them to his staff himself in order for his staff to be allowed on the floor. But if “John Doe”, “Jane Doe”, and “James Doe” are listed, then John, Jane or James can show up at different times and get their individual badges or collect them for the entire staff.

I’m an artist looking to setup at Power-Con. Do you offer Artist tables?
Our Vendor tables are available for both artists and retailers. We will work to group artists in one section and retailers in another. One discounted option you may be interested in is our Hallway Vendor Tables.

What are these Hallway Vendor Tables and why are they so cheap?
These tables are placed outside the Grand Ballroom in the main hallway. This is a high traffic area as attendees must pass these tables to enter the main room and to enter the Panel room. The catch is that these tables are not locked up or under supervision outside of the regular show hours. Any valuables must be packed up and stored in our Storage room. If you want to leave any signs or displays at your table, you do so at your own risk. These tables are a great buy for people who don’t have a lot of product or an elaborate setup.

Can I sell bootleg DVD’s, unlicensed materials, etc?
We trust that our artists and vendors will sell licensed merchandise and/or sell merchandise with the permission of the copyright/trademark holder. The sale of anything that may be in violation of copyrighted /trademarked work is not permitted by Power-Con, LLC and is done so at your own risk which means that you could get into trouble. It’s even possible that you could be arrested on the convention floor and escorted away for the sale of these items. We reserve the right to eject exhibitors for selling unlawful or objectionable material at any time, without refund, at our discretion.

Can I sell adult materials?
We strive to maintain an all-ages show. We discourage selling materials of a sexually explicit or obscene nature, and outright forbid sexually explicit materials to be displayed. We realize this material can be subjective, but we reserve the right to judge what material is permissible. As such, we reserve the right to eject violators, without refund, at our discretion.

Can I bring food or beverages onto the convention floor?
Yes, food and beverages can be brought onto the convention floor for Exhibitors only as long as it is kept behind your booth or table at all times.

Are there restaurants located near the convention center?

Are there any special room rates available during POWER-CON?

If the Four Points by Shearton is filled up by the time I book my room(s) are there other area hotels providing discounted room rates as well?

Is there parking available at the convention center?
Yes. There will be on-site parking available with a special rate of $7.00 per day/per vehicle (During POWER-CON/THUNDERCON) with in-and-out privileges.

MEDIA

How do I acquire a Press Pass for POWER-CON?
Please see our Press tab for application process and regulations.

As a member of the Press, am I allowed to enter the convention floor earlier than the general public?
No. There is no early entry for Press at this time.

Is it okay to film/interview/otherwise record on the convention floor for broadcast?
Yes, with verbal assent or permission of those you are filming/interviewing/otherwise recording. Please respect the wishes of any guests, attendees, and/or exhibitors in this regard.

GENERAL

What happens if all the seats are taken for a panel I want to see?
Seating for the panel room is limited. When all seats are taken, no one else will be allowed into the room. If the convention looks like it’s busy, our advice is to get to the panel line queue early in hopes of getting a seat. Seating at all scheduled programming is NOT guaranteed!

If you sell out of a convention item I want, will it be available after the show?
Convention items are exclusive to the event. That includes convention t-shirts, prints and any official convention items, sometimes produced in conjunction with select Exhibitors. If there is an item you want then we suggest you buy it early during the show. Availability of convention exclusive items and memorabilia, especially after the convention, is NOT guaranteed! If we do have a convention item left over, and can sell it online, we will do so after the show.

I’m interested in sponsoring Power-Con. How do I make that happen?
Power-Con welcomes inquiries about sponsorship. If you are interested in having your business featured on Power-Con promotional items (gift bag, program, etc) or used in connection with official Power-Con adverts and press releases, please contact us at info@thepower-con.com.
