Gary Hartle joins the guest list!

Gary Hartle was the director of the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series from Mike Young Productions that aired on Cartoon Network.

In addition to He-Man, Mr. Hartle has worked on such popular shows as Animaniacs, Taz-Mania, Johnny Bravo, and The Advengers: Earth’s Mightest Heroes.

Tim Seeley joins the guest list!

Tim Seeley is the writer for the new series of mini-comics from Dark Horse Comics that are being included with select action figures in the Masters of the Universe Classics toy-line from Mattel. The first issue, “The Powers of Grayskull, Part One: The Legend Begins”, was available with the release of Thunder Punch He-Man.

In addition to He-Man, Mr. Seeley has illustrated a variety of comics, including Kore, G.I. Joe, G.I. Joe vs. Transformers, and Forgotten Realms: The Dark Elf Trilogy. He is also the author of the comic Hack/Slash.

2. Fan Contests – Fan Art & Custom Creation and Cosplay

If you plan on participating in either the Fan Art & Custom Creation contest -or- the Cosplay contest, you need to contact the convention before August 24, 2012 with your intent to enter. If you do not, you will not be able to participate in the contest during the weekend of the convention.

Eric Scot Frydler joins the guest list!

Eric Scot Frydler is a former Mattel Conceptual Designer and Writer who worked on both the original Masters of the Unvierse and Princess of Power toylines.  He was instrumental in developing and writing some of the mini-comics that accompanied the figures such as “Escape from the Slime Pit” and “Across the Crystal Light Barrier”. Mr. Frydler also wrote, named, art directed, conceptualized, and innovated the “Crystal World” and its magical horses, “Crystal Moonbeam”, “Crystal Sun Dancer”, and “Crystal Swift Wind”.

Robert Lamb joins the guest list!

Robert Lamb was a staff writer for Filmation’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra Princess of Power. In addition, he also storyboarded at Filmation for both series along with Fat Albert, Ghostbusters, Blackstar, Shazam!, and BraveStarr.

Mr. Lamb has a fantastic website currently where he discusses his memories of working for the legendary Filmation Studios.

James Eatock joins the guest list!

James “Busta Toons” Eatock publishes cereal:geek magazine and is the author of the Unofficial He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Cartoon Guide and the upcoming Unofficial She-Ra Cartoon Guide. Mr. Eatock also contributed to and worked on various official DVD releases of He-Man and She-Ra by providing series information/knowledge and commentary.

Tom Sito joins the guest list!

Tom Sito was a storyboard artist, animator, and director on the original Filmation He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra Princess of Power cartoon series.

Mr. Sito has also worked on such other famous features as Disney’s Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and DreamWorks’ Shrek. After serving three terms as president of the Hollywood animators union, he became interested in telling their story. The result was his first book Drawing the Line: The Untold Story of the Animation Unions from Bosko to Bart Simpson.

William George joins the guest list!

William George is a renowned illustrator who created most of the packaging art and promotional posters for Mattel’s Masters of the Universe between 1985 and 1990. His famous scenes can be seen on such merchandise as Battle Bones, Land Shark, Dragon Walker, and the fantastic promotional posters for the toy line.

Jim Meskimen joins the guest list!

Jim Meskimen is a comedian and actor who is voicing Aburn, member of the Elephants race and ally of the ThunderCats, in the new ThunderCats series airing on Cartoon Network. As a man of many talents, he was also a conceptual artist and  lead character designer for the original ThunderCats cartoon.

In addition, Mr. Meskimen has had an impressive career in Hollywood, appearing in such projects as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Castle, Parks and Recreation, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Robot Chicken, The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
